The Millipede and Other Less Embraceable Friends

Picture

“In a unique combination of poetry and prose, Gayle Jandrey has created a work that is both fun and educational.  Her accounts of each species are factual and reflect an intimate knowledge of the Sonoran Desert and it denizens.”

Steve Prchal, Sonoran Arthrodpod Studies Institute

Justin Larson, illustrator and educator, moved to Arizona from Alsaka in 1992.  For Mr. Larson, art is the tree that branches out, each branch touching another.  His illustrations interpret nature though a lens of his own experience.

It is this special experience the he wished to share with children, enhancing their sense of wonder and joy in the natural world.

The Millipede and Other Less Embraceable Friends is available on line though the  Sonorna Arthropod Studies Institute at www.sasionline.org, $12.99
